The Whatuni advisory group was set up in 2014 to provide vital guidance for our products and services. The expert group provides a crucial sector view as we respond to significant market changes, in order to help students make the right education decisions and to help universities and colleges recruit the right students. It has helped shape key initiatives including the Whatuni Student Choice Awards, Insights, Enrolment Matcher and careers advisor ‘Destination’ tools. In 2016 the group was expanded with a widened remit to also cover our other International products and services. This includes www.hotcoursesabroad.com and our country sites.

Student Advisory Board
The Whatuni Student Advisory Board is a panel of 27 students from across England and Wales who meet to chat and debate all things higher education. The board is made up of Year 12 and 13 sixth form/college students, university students and Students’ Union presidents who all applied for a position in 2017. The board boasts a real mix of educational backgrounds, career aspirations and current accolades, including course reps, student mentors, student ambassadors and a MENSA member.
Their feedback ensures that the student voice is presented and relevant, not only on our site, but in our day-to-day business. They keep us aware of the latest goings on, help us understand the current feelings and thoughts from students and ensure we’re always putting the student first in an ever-changing sector. The board’s feedback also helps the Advisory Group by providing valuable insight into both current and prospective student’s thoughts and ideas.
You can meet the current student advisory board, and watch a video of their first meeting here.
