The Whatuni Student Choice Awards are the only university experience awards ceremony based on student reviews. Last year we collected a record-breaking 36,423 reviews towards the 2018 awards, with 148 institutions reaching the threshold to take part.

About the Awards
Now in their sixth year, the WUSCAs offer prospective students an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems. The Awards are based on averages taken from tens of thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on Whatuni.com.

‘University of the Year’, ‘Accommodation’, ‘Job Prospects’, ‘Course & Lecturers’, ‘Students’ Union’, ‘Uni Facilities’, ‘City Life’, ‘Clubs & Societies’, ‘Student Support’, ‘International’ & ‘Postgraduate’
Independent higher education institutions are eligible for inclusion in our Independent HE category.
Further education colleges with HE provision are eligible for inclusion in our FE College category.
With these additional categories we aim to reflect the diversity of HE in the UK, offer prospective students insight into a range of different institutions and celebrate student satisfaction across the board. Both of the above categories have a lower review threshold than the main table, and institutions do not need taught degree awarding powers to take part.
Submission based categories
Prospective Student Engagement – for unique & engaging campaigns that improve the journey into university for prospective students.
Giving Back – for innovative & impactful campaigns and projects that give back to a community, be it internationally, nationally, locally, or within an institution.
Both the above categories are judged by the Whatuni Student Advisory Board, a group of sixth form, college and university students.
Sponsorship opportunities available for brands wanting to reach either Whatuni’s vast prospective student audience, or those interested in connecting with the event audience of Vice Chancellors, university marketing professionals and other members of the higher education sector.
